Abstract

Micro electrical discharge machining occupies a vital role in modern manufacturing industries. This paper describes the effect of three different input parameters such as voltage, capacitance and electrode rotation speed of micro electrical discharge machining performances of surface roughness, overcut and circularity. The characteristics of machining are evaluated by the electrical and nonelectrical parameters in micro EDM process. The multi objective optimization techniques are used to determine the performance of optimal machining conditions. The ANOVA technique was calculated for machining performance and root mean square value was estimated. The optimal machining performance of surface roughness, overcut and circularity are calculated in the machining conditions of voltage 100V, capacitance of 8µf and electrode rotation speed of 2500 rpm.
