Peer Review Policies
Peer Review Policy
Multidisciplinary Journal for Applied Research in Engineering and Technology (MJARET)
Published by MRL Publishing House
1. Overview
MJARET follows a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the academic quality and integrity of all published manuscripts. All submitted articles are evaluated objectively, confidentially, and without bias.
2. Double-Blind Review
In the double-blind peer review system used by MJARET:
- Reviewers do not know the identities of the authors
- Authors do not know the identities of the reviewers
This process helps maintain objectivity and fairness in evaluations.
3. Reviewer Selection
Manuscripts are reviewed by at least two independent experts in the relevant field. Reviewers are selected based on subject expertise, prior publication history, and reviewer performance.
4. Reviewer Responsibilities
Reviewers are expected to:
- Provide constructive, clear, and unbiased feedback
- Evaluate the manuscript’s originality, relevance, methodology, and scientific contribution
- Maintain confidentiality and not use any content prior to publication
- Declare any potential conflicts of interest
5. Editorial Decision
Based on reviewer comments and recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief or assigned Associate Editor makes one of the following decisions:
- Accept without revision
- Accept with minor revisions
- Revise and resubmit (major revisions)
- Reject
In case of conflicting reviews, a third reviewer may be consulted, or the final decision rests with the editorial board.
6. Turnaround Time
The typical review timeline is 2 to 3 weeks. Authors will be notified promptly if delays occur.
7. Appeals and Reconsideration
Authors may appeal editorial decisions by submitting a formal request with justification. Appeals are reviewed by an independent editorial panel, and decisions are final.
8. Ethical Review
MJARET adheres to the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Any allegations of misconduct are investigated in accordance with COPE standards.
9. Confidentiality
All submitted manuscripts and peer reviews are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers are instructed not to discuss or share content with unauthorized parties.
10. Reviewer Acknowledgment
MJARET values the contributions of peer reviewers and acknowledges their service with formal certificates upon request.
