Repository and Archiving Policy

1. Self-Archiving Policy

MJARET allows authors to archive versions of their work in personal, institutional, and public repositories both before and after publication.

  • Preprint (before peer review): Allowed on any platform (e.g., arXiv, SSRN, institutional repositories).
  • Postprint (after peer review, before publication): Allowed with citation to the journal.
  • Published Version (Version of Record): Can be deposited in repositories with full citation and link to the official DOI.

Example citation to use:

2. Licensing for Reuse

All articles published in MJARET are under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which permits unrestricted reuse and redistribution with proper credit.

3. Digital Preservation

MJARET ensures long-term digital preservation of published content through:

  • Regular server backups
  • DOI registration via CrossRef for persistent article identification
  • Archiving in institutional repositories and third-party databases (where applicable)

4. Open Access Compliance

MJARET complies with major funders' open access mandates. Authors are free to deposit their work in repositories required by their funding institutions, including Plan S-compliant and green OA repositories.

5. Publisher Archiving

All content is preserved and accessible via the journal website: www.mjaret.com and via DOI linkages.
