Abstract

unique decision-based strategy has been proposed for the restoration of images that have been
substantially affected by impulse noise. In this paper, we provide an efficient de-noising method and its VLSI
architecture for reducing impulse noise in watermarked photos. As a result of the goal of low cost, a VLSI design has
been proposed. Decision-tree impulse noise detectors and edge-preserving filters are used to find the pixels that are
noisy and reconstruct the intensity values of those pixels. Simple memory buffers and little processing complexity are
all that is necessary to implement this approach. It's a low-cost hardware option. In comparison to previous VLSI
implementations, ours provides better image quality at a lower hardware cost. It is possible for our design's VLSI
